In addition to a wide range of classroom and online training courses, seminars and workshops, it is important for our young talent to experience practical work life on construction sites from the outset of their careers. As part of our professional development programmes and to enhance the professional knowledge of our people, Paul Y. regularly organises technical visits to our project sites of different disciplines to foster learning.
 
In November, Paul Y. Campus arranged a technical visit for a group of our young talent to our Mixed Housing Development at Pak Wo Road, Fanling, the first Dedicated Rehousing Estate (DRE) of the Hong Kong Housing Society. With the guidance of our Assistant Project Manager, Martin Lau, the group was provided with a better understanding of the technical aspects and challenges of this project from our project team. The project will involve the handling of 5,000 modules of precast concrete elements within a tight project delivery schedule. 
 
Project completion is expected in 2024 when this DRE will provide around 1,500 rental and sale units for residents affected by the Government’s development clearance or redevelopment projects in urban areas including units earmarked for senior citizens. Providing homes for the people of Hong Kong.
