Construction of an 8-storey new Student Residence and a connection bridge to IAS Building, modification work to LSK Business Building Plaza, excavation and site formation works, tree felling and transportation and associated supporting facilities, including communal amenities, sport hall and external landscaped area.
HKUST's new student halls of residence designed by Zaha Hadid Architects in collaboration with Leigh & Orange will accommodate more than 1,500 students and feature cluster apartments with communal living spaces to house between 18 to 36 students each. The design embraces technology and innovation to achieve sustainable construction practices. It follows the Government of HKSAR's initiatives in safe and sustainable construction by adopting Modular Integrated Construction (MiC), including pre-assembled façade units and bathroom pods.
