The project comprises an 8-storey new academic building including one-level basement with laboratories, teaching and research facilities. To align with current and future development of the LKS Faculty of Medicine Building’s needs, new buildings could provide updated provisions, space and infrastructure to support teaching and research.

To facilitate access by students and staff between Queen’s Mary Hospital and new academic building, two footbridges equipped with lifts installation are also constructed to provide students and staff a more convenient, easier and barrier-free access to Queen Mary Hospital. Sky gardens are provided at Ground Floor, 4/F and Roof Floor to enlarge the green common area. Wall climbers are planted along key facades to complement surrounding environment.
