Unit 12 is one of the natural gas power units to be constructed at Lamma Power Station Extension, for achieving carbon emission reduction by 2023 under the Hong Kong's Climate Action Plan 2030+ announced by the Environment Bureau.
Unit 12 and associated projects comprise of the Main Station Building with the Heat Recovery Steam Generator Equipment Room, Chimney No.5, Gas Receiving Station, Administration and Control Building, Intake5 and circulating water system, cable bridge and external works including roads, pavement, drains, trenches, pits underground utilities, and fire hydrants.
