Drainage Services Department appointed Paul Y. – CREC Joint Venture as the Contractor for the construction of the new Yuen Long Effluent Polishing Plant (YLEPP). This project adopting the most advanced sewage treatment technologies and featuring green design and community facilities. This landmark infrastructure project will benefit the local community and promote sustainability.

The project comprises civil, electrical, and mechanical works for sewage and sludge treatment facilities including inlet works, primary sedimentation tanks, mainstream bio-reactor system, tertiary treatment system, sludge thickening building, sludge digesters, biogas holding tanks and associated buildings; civil works for sludge dewatering building, administration building and other ancillary works including road works, drainage works, utility works, architectural and landscaping works.
